Obituary of Janet H. Cook
Janet H. Cook (nee Troxell) of Westville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024, at the age of 76.
Legacy
Born on July 8, 1947, she was the beloved daughter of John & Helen Troxell.
Janet was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She brought joy and warmth to the lives of all who knew her. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love touched the hearts of many.
Janet was a homemaker and a dedicated member and longtime president of the Westville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Her commitment to her community was evident in her years of service and leadership within the organization. She was known for her strength of character and her unwavering dedication to supporting others in times of need.
She graduated from Deptford High School in 1966 and married the love of her life, Robert Cook, on November 2, 1968. Together, they raised three sons: Robert D. Cook, Brian Cook, and Brad Cook.
Janet enjoyed vacationing with her family at different exotic locations during her life, including Wildwood, NJ; the Outer Banks; Hawaii, and Walt Disney World. She was a huge fan of everything Disney, and her love for the magic of Disney brought joy to countless family memories.

Janet is the beloved wife of the late Robert Cook; cherished mother of Robert (Lisa) Cook, Brian (Susan) Cook & Brad (Kelly) Cook; loving grandmother of Anthony, Brian James, Gavin, Marissa, Logan, Macayla, Ryan, Lauren, Rachael & Mike; great grandmother of Ben, Noah, Abby and Lanie; dear sister of Jack Troxell, Tom Troxell, Donald Troxell, Gary Troxell, Elaine Greco and the late Robert Troxell.
Farewell Ceremony
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for her viewing on Wednesday evening, June 5, 2024, after 6:30 PM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Additionally, there will be a viewing on Thursday morning, June 6, 2024, in St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation B.V.M. Church, 601 Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ, from 9:45 to 10:45 AM, where her Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ 08094. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter, 1200 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ 08312.
Janet will be forever remembered for her kindness, her strength, her unwavering love, and her zest for life. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed.
