My condolences to Jean's family and friends plus all her painting students. I only met Jean 2 or 3 times. A couple of times at her house in Mickleton and her condo in Ocean City, NJ.
She was a great teacher to her students just from seeing her students work and her own beautiful paintings. She had a wealth of information that she did share.
She loved her grandkids being able to sleep over at her condo. She loved their company. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her much more closely than myself. She impressed me and I was only an acquaintance through her student Darlene Kramer.

My thoughts and prayers are with John, Jack, Jill , Joy and their families. I know that Jean touched many lives during her time on Earth. I never knew her well in my teen years, growing up with Jill, but treasured her positive influence and love as an adult without living parents. She was always so sweet and eager to share her Grandmommy love! RIP Jean! I know your angel wings will fit well!❤️

Words cannot express my grief over the loss of my very dear friend. I will remember Jean for all the good things we all strive to be each and every day of our lives - always inspiring, always loving, always forgiving, always helpful, always generous. Her family was her love and joy every moment of each day. She always shared the devotion and the commitment to her grandchildren's lives - their sporting interests, their accomplishments, and all the wonderful things we remember as we all grow up.
This year, no time for Cazenovia - Jean had two graduations to attend to, and she was both proud and excited for them both! We have shared road trips to china painting shows, where she packed my car so full of china we could barely see out the back window (hush, she says with that wonderful smile of hers), shared painting seminars and schools, and notes back and forth sharing ideas and inspiration. I am a better artist because of her, and for that, I am thankful.
I shall always remember her as a beautiful soul, a gifted and generous artist, and a wonderful friend. She is gone too soon, but I know in my heart that she is now among the angels that she so loved throughout her life.

May God give you strength and comfort during this difficult time.
I met Jean at the Cazenovia Porcelain Art School. Our paths crossed many times at different schools and porcelain art shows and conventions. In fact, she has been in several classes I taught. From this our friendship grew. Even though we did not talk frequently or send emails as often as we once had, our friendship was strong.
Jean was a wonderful person. She was generous and kind and unselfish.
I will miss her terribly. Please accept my sympathies.

My sincerest condolences for your family's loss. I met Jean during a Tybee school some years ago and we have been connected on FB ever since. Never did I post anything that Jean did not have a kind and thoughtful response too, and I loved following her work and her love for her family. She was a wonderful soul and phenomenal artist. May you find peace in this extremely hard and sad time.

My heart aches having heard this news. I still can't believe it as Jean was so young. I knew Jean for many years going back to our days at Cazenovia and especially the time when their home burned down and we chatted at Caz about it. She has gone far too soon. She encouraged me to vote online for Leah thousands of times and I was happy to do it for her. A lovely lady who has left this world and left many sad people. My sincere condolences to John and the family, a hole has been left in our hearts.
