I knew this gentle giant of a man all four of my years at ERHS as my golf coach, gym teacher, driver's ed teacher, and friend. My sincere condolences to all his family and friends. He will be missed by many. R.I.P. Sugar Bear (a name the fellas on the golf team could get away with). Until we meet again at that great golf course in Heaven.

My sincere condolences to Judy and the Rolando family. I was lucky to have played football for Coach Rolando at EHS (Class of 1968) when he was just out of college. I was even more fortunate to have know him after my playing days. He was always sincerely interested in my development and my family. He genuinely cared about people and was a role model in my development as an adult. He was truly one of the great ones that formed the foundation of Eastern High School. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers as well as his beloved family.

Coach Rolando was my neighbor, PE teacher, golf coach, driver's ed instructor, Gibbsboro basketball court running mate, youth mentor and friend. He was especially instrumental in conveying how to compete and accepting responsibility for one's actions. His teachings and communications extended well past school. My heartfelt condolences to your entire family.

I taught with Fred from 1971 through 1976. He was a gentleman, a respected colleague, and an engaging teacher. I have great memories of the laughs we had along the way. In the early days he created decorative wax candles at Christmas time and sold them to faculty. We never burned ours and displayed since 1971, so he was thought of each holiday season. Thanks for the memories. We are very sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers for Fred and his family. Fred touched many lives during his time at Eastern. I have many fond memories having him as a coach. Probably one of the only students that could get away with calling him Fred...I just got "The Look" and a Laugh...Many are sad now, But thoughts and memories of Fred will bring smiles and laughs....
