Obituary of Alfredo S. Rolando, Jr.

Alfredo S. Rolando, Jr., 75, of Washington Township, NJ, passed away on August 28, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Legacy

A loving and kind gentleman, Fred adored his family, especially his grandchildren.  Fred was his grandchildren's biggest fan.   He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus St. Simon Stock Council in Berlin.

Born in Vineland, NJ, Fred was a resident of Washington Township for over 40 years.  He was a graduate of Rocky Mountain College, Montana and Rutgers University.  Prior to retiring in 2000, Fred was a teacher of Physical Education and Health and a coach for the golf and football teams of Eastern Regional High School.  He also coached football at Highland Regional High School and Washington Township. In March of 2017, Fred, was inducted into the South Jersey Coaches Association Hall of Fame for his coaching accomplishments. Additionally, Fred since 2002 has served on the NJSIAA Golf committee for the Group III South/Central sectional, and also assists in coordinating the high school state golf tournament.

Beloved husband of 51 years to Judith (nee Parks); Loving father of Steven (Dianna) and Stacy (Ray) Verrelle; Devoted Pop Pop of Jill, Hailey, Michael and Nicholas.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Fred's viewing on Tuesday, 8:00 - 10:30 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM in the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Sewell, NJ 08080.  Interment All Saints Cemetery, Newfield, NJ.
