Our Sincere Condolences to Jackie and Don; Young Raymond and the MacDowell Family: Every 4th of July, I always looked forward to seeing Aunt Bert at Jackie and Don's. I was SO touched that this past year she said to me, "I LOVE You!" and I said, I LOVE You, too! How Precious was That!!! I know "Ms. Bert", as Jackie called her, was more like a Mom to her! Who knew it would be the last time I saw her. Also, at one of the 4th of July BBQs about 6 years ago, My mother-in-law Rita, who always prided herself in being the Oldest in the Room, asked Aunt Bert how old she was and Bertie said 90 - My mother-in-law's face fell as she was 89. Rita passed at 93 two years ago - now they can chat together again in Heaven. LOVE the photos. Hope the one I tried to post from the 4th of July BBQ of the Girls posted. Rest in Peace Dear Lady!

Ray and Donna and family I’m so sorry to hear of Bert’s passing. She was such a beautiful woman who always had a smile on her face and it didn’t matter how many years had passed before seeing her again she always remembered us. I will always remember when we were young kids running around the neighborhood and down by the lake she was always that great Mom you wanted to go see, always welcoming and sweet natured. I feel so blessed and fortunate to have known her. .May you find peace and comfort in knowing that your grief is shared by so many. Your mom will be sorely missed. God bless you and your wonderful family

Dear Ray, Donna and family. Very sorry to hear of the loss of you dear Mom. I never met her, but I know she had to be a wonderful woman. She is at peace now and enjoyed a wonderful life with her family. So sweet to have dinner with her on Sundays.
