Things I remember when I think of Mr McCollum :
Him coming home from work with his black lunch pail and giving your mom a kiss.
Painting that high house. Evertime I painted mine I would remind myself he painted one twice as high lol
Watching him climb the sour cherry tree to put up the tire swing. My dad said he was crazy climbing that tree, but I thought
“ How Awesome! “
Of course all the sports, but more important everyone could play.
One time I came over and you guys weren’t home and he was out front. Somehow we started throwing the football and it wasn’t just a 5 minute catch. That made me feel so great.
My favorite memory though was a sunny spring day and we were playing baseball.
Your dad was pitching and your Uncle Bob was there. The next thing we knew Uncle Curt pulled up and we had us a perfect afternoon
Last but not least, hearing him cracking up watching “ The Roadrunner “ lol

The McCollum farm out was like a second home to me as a little boy and a very caring and loving place. I have only wonderful memories of Ted Senior. The house was a treasure with dirt floors in the basement and a 4th Floor attic that was safe and scarey at the same time. I still remember hide and seek throughout the house (when Mom & Dad we’re gone) and boxing matches in the basement. But the large yard was an amazing playground day and night. Big enough for football, baseball and soccer or just playing hide and seek Withon trees, bushes and schrubs. Even catching honey bees on the flowering bushes were a delight. Swings, swimming pool, badminton and horse shoes were always games to play. As I reminisce of those simple times, I thank God for the McCollum family. Even as a young man, Ted Senior continued to mold my life as he secured my employment at Owening Corning Fiberglass. One good word from Ted Sr the plant manager and I was hired. When I was in an auto accident and stuck in the hospital, I was fired for not reporting to work. As I recovered I went to the office with 33 stitches in my eye and explained the situation, but it was too late. Ted came to my parents house to see how I was feeling and I explained I had been fired. Next day I was called back to work. I quess Ted had some pull. But the real story is how much he cared about people. Heaven has another Angel and I was blessed to know Mr. M and Teddy and Harry should know how lucky they were to have Ted Sr. As a father.
Rest In Peace, Mr. M.

So many wonderful memories i just dont know where to begin except by saying that I will miss you dearly Uncle Ted. Remembering when you and Aunt Dot would come to moms to visit and she would make sure that there was always Teaberry and Bittersweet ice cream there for you. To going out to dinner to Pizza Hut. Visiting you and Aunt Dot in Woodbury. Playing lawn darts ,eating pudding pops and Uncle Ted taking us to different places to see. Going to the beach and Uncle Ted teaching me how to go down the sliding board when i was afraid to and he told me it would be alright and he was absolutely right. Going to the boardwalk and going on the rides. Sometimes we even got caught in the rain but always laughed about even though we got soaking wet. But i have to say the most memorable memory that is truly close to my heart and that i will never forget is when Uncle Ted walked me down the isle on my wedding day. He told me everything will be fine just watch out for the lions and tigers and bears beware and dont ever forget the ghostes. I love you Uncle Ted and we will meet again someday until then God will take good care of you.

We were very fortunate to have grown up in the neighborhood we had, with the people we had, and in the time it was. Mr. McCollum was a positive part of that for which I’m grateful. Rest In Peace

Where do I start?!? I guess first... sending hugs and love to Aunt Dot, Cousin Teddy, and Cousin Harry and their families! Second-- hands down AMAZING UNCLE!! I'll forever cherish my memories! Beach trips, family gatherings, weddings, backyard whiffle ball, water parks, and overall how very special he made each of us feel!! He was complimentary and always positive. (Well except for that one time when Chrissy wouldn't get out of the suburban-haha). Anyway...he will be missed. I have been saying that both Uncle Ted and Aunt Dot had so much love between them... and it spilled out to the rest of us! Their adoration towards each other was magical and it inspired this little girl to find the same in her life!! I'm forever grateful!!!
