Obituary of George Victor Hink

Hink, George Victor, ?VIC?, died suddenly on October 13, 2006. Aged 61 years. Husband of 36 years of Sharon nee O?Donnell. Father of Gregory and Jennifer Hink. Son of Anne M. nee Reynolds and the late George Hink. Brother of Michael, Joseph, James and the late Patricia. Vic was born in Philadelphia to the famous firefighting Hink family. His grandfather was the Philadelphia Fire Commissioner and his father was a Captain in the Philadelphia Fire Department. He was a graduate of Northeast Catholic H.S. and St. Joseph?s University. He served his country in the US Army. Vic met Sharon in 1965 at a picnic in New Jersey. They were inseparable thereafter and married in 1970. Vic worked for Pep Boys since 1977. He was the manager of many stores including Woodbury and Stratford. Most recently, he worked as a Pricing Analyst at the main office in Philadelphia. Vic enjoyed many activities - fishing, writing, crossword puzzles and trips to Disney World. He was a gentle man with a gifted intellect who guided our family. A viewing will be held Wednesday morning from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter St. Woodbury. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Wednesday in St. Patrick?s RC Church Woodbury. Interment Wenonah Cemetery, Mantua Twp.
