The service today was beautiful. although not the situation in which i would want to say goodbye, it allowed me to reflect and think of you and the happy times we shared together. you taught me many things about life, which i hold dear and hopefully will be able to pass to my children. i have many fond memories with you and grandmom and our family in which i will never forget--the swimming pool, our sleepovers with ice cream and pretzels, solitaire against the champion, giving honey-doll bandaids, watching all of my sporting games, the trips to the bus, and all the laughs. you were and always will be in my heart and i cherish the time that we had together. i hope that you are with grandmom looking down on myself, eric and our family, keeping us safe and sharing in our memories. i will never forget you and will love you forever. love cindy

Thank you for the wonderful memories and times shared, Grandpop. I will always remember the time spent with you and Grandmom fondly, whether it be swimming in the pool, waiting for th bus in elementary school, talking baseball, or just having you visit the house.
You touched my life and influenced me in ways you cannot imagine. I know you always had us in your heart and will be looking down upon me and my future family with pride.
