Obituary of George V. Costello

COSTELLO?George V. of Mickelton formerly of Woodbury, NJ on Sept. 5, 2002. Aged 69 years. Prior to retirement in 1989, Mr. Costello worked for the former NJ Bell Telephone Co., Woodbury for 31 years. He was a US Airforce veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a volunteer fireman for over 46 years. He was a member of the Friendship Fire Company, Woodbury, past Chief of the Woodbury Fire Department, member of the Gloucester County Firemen?s & Fire Chief?s Associations and the NJ State Fire Assoc. An avid fly fisherman, he was a member of the South Jersey Fly Fisher?s Club. In his spare time, George enjoyed building model ships, traveling & reading. He is the beloved husband of 40 years to Ruth E. nee Lutz, dear brother in law of Robert Lutz of Woodbury. Viewing Mon. 6:30-9 PM & Tues 9-9:30AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ. Funeral Mass Tues 10 AM St. Patrick RC Church, Woodbury, NJ. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Swedesboro, NJ.
