Obituary of Sandra Pomilio

Sandra “Sandy” M. Pomilio of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. She was 75.

Legacy

Sandy was a friendly and outgoing person who never knew a stranger and always knew how to make someone laugh. During her career as a travel agent, she traveled the world, exploring places like Egypt and Italy. Sandy treasured her summer vacations in Cape May with her family when her children were younger, and more recently, spending time at her condo in Venice, Florida. She created many friendships during all her travels, but her lifelong friends were made while her children grew up in Woodbury Heights. Sunday dinners with her family were times she always looked forward to, but above all, Sandy loved playing Bingo with her best friends and winning big.

Family

She is the beloved wife of 53 years to Peter Pomilio, Jr.; devoted mother of Stacey Wells (Orist), Christopher (Kelly), and Peter III (Judi); dear sister to Phyllis Pilla (late Rocco); loving grandmother to Ryan, Haley, Taylor, Anthony, Kyan, Jax, and Cain; cherished great grandmother to Sophia, Nina, Carson, and Brayden.

Sandy is predeceased by her parents, James and Mary (Pecoraro) Varanelli.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation at on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the McGuinness Funeral Home at 34 Hunter Street in Woodbury. A funeral ceremony will be held in the funeral home at 12:00 p.m., entombment at Eglington Cemetery.

Sandy’s family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sandy’s honor may be made to a charity of your choosing.
