All are invited to attend electronically via http://client.tribucast.com/tcid/139701723. Joan had requested folks to abide by New Jersey’s Covid-19 restrictions and to remember her aunt Alice Graham, who during the Global Influenza Pandemic of 1918 saved Joan’s father Clair “Reds” Houser Graham, their three siblings, and their parents before succumbing to the virus herself.
A private committal burial service will be held at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden, where Joan’s remains will be placed alongside her father and mother, Elsie Mae Graham (nee Hyatt). Please share your name and contact information with McGuiness Funeral Home or one of Joan’s sons so that they may invite you to an in-person celebration of her life after New Jersey’s Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
In lieu of flowers and for anyone wishing to make a charitable gift or act in Joan's memory, her family would appreciate your support of Cathedral Kitchen in Camden, NJ, Joan’s birthplace. https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/donatetoCK Cathedral Kitchen was founded over 40 years and 1,000,000 meals ago after Saint Mother Theresa of Calcutta, Joan’s favorite female saint and role model, visited Camden in 1976.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Matthew 25:35-36
