I worked with your father as a deckhand and as a mate from the mid seventies to the mid eighties mostly on the tug Neptune. He was a kind man and a class man willing to help anyone advance their career. Your father was one of the best Pilots around making tough jobs look easy but then he had to be because the equipment they used back then was under powered . Never heard him have a bad word about anybody. Was hoping to see him the last Retirered tugboat luncheon but that was not to be. Ray will sorely be missed by many. Rest easy my friend!
