Obituary of Eleanor J Braaksma
Eleanor Joan Braaksma age 88 died peacefully at home on July 9, 2021, with her four beloved daughters and dear son-in-law Brian by her side.
Legacy
She was born February 7, 1933, in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of William and Eleanor Braaksma.
Eleanor graduated from Camden High School, Class of 1951. Following graduation, she worked for Bell Telephone, was a stay-at-home mom, then worked for Campbell Soup Company where she retired as the World Headquarters Corporate Receptionist. Often referred to as the “First Lady” of Campbell Soup, she was a well-respected employee.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, reading, movies, shopping and politics.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in death by her beloved brothers Billy and Henry.
Family
Eleanor is survived by daughters Lori Busch (Dan Rink), Kristi Busch Schaffer (Brian), Daria Busch and Bonnie Busch as well as 3 grandchildren Jarod, Kelli and Aubrey Koenig, loving sister Cori Campbell (Bill) and many nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be remembered for her grace, elegance, timeless style and how she made everyone feel welcomed. We will forever savor the cherished memories.
Farewell Tribute
A celebration of life will be held in Eleanor’s memory on Saturday, July 17 at McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell (Washington Twp.), NJ 08080. Visitation 9-11 A.M. A memorial service immediately following at McGuinness.
