Obituary of Mark Joseph Gilligan
Mark Joseph Gilligan, 60, of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 19, 2021.
Legacy
Born in Woodbury, NJ, Mark was a lifelong resident of West Deptford, NJ. He formerly worked for Boggs Auto Body Repair and then started as an electrical apprentice for Boro Construction in King of Prussia, PA.
Mark was an artistic guy who was mechanically inclined and could fix anything, especially lawn mower motors. This earned him his nick name MacGyver and friends and family knew that all they had to do was ask, and Mark would be there to lend a helping hand. There were two places that you could likely find Mark...one would be his workshop behind his home and the other would be at his place in Maine. His Workshop was where he would work on his welding projects or his woodworking creations like small tables with the live wood edge. His yearly trips with friends and family were full of memories as he fished for trout or salmon on the Moose River. He invited all to come to his place in Maine so they could enjoy it as much as he did.
Family
Beloved son of Harold and Eleanor (nee McGuigan) Gilligan; loving brother of Robert H. (Lillie) Gilligan, Christine M. (James) Byrne, Sandi (Robert) Gleaner and the late Marianne Ulzheimer and Patty Stefano (nee Gilligan); dear Uncle Buck of Diana, Mark, Morgan, Emily, Jamie Lynn, Brad, Danielle, the late Dean and great uncle of Rebecca.
