As I sit here trying to write something nice and caring I find that I am at a loss for words. I just am deeply saddened by George's death. I know that he is in heaven now with all of the family and praying for everyone that he left. I was so happy that I could be there with his family when he passed. We remembered past occasions, we cried and we prayed. Rest in peace, dear Cousin.
My deepest sympathy to Rose Mary, Jennifer and Alicia.
Love..........Elaine

We love cousin George very much. He was a talker and thats ok with me...I enjoyed many conversations I had with him at a family function or a family visit. I will never forget the last conversation I had with George. He was telling me how much he loved Aunt Jen his mother in law and enjoyed having her living with Rosemary and him. He said he loved buying her favorite things to eat and if she said she felt like having ice cream at 10 at night and they didn't have any he was going to go get it for her right away. That's the kind of man he was...he loved his wife, kids, grandkids, mother in law, and all his family and friends. We will miss him very much and I for one will miss his stories❤
Love, Michelle and John

Dear Rose Mary, Jennifer, Alisha and family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of George. He was a wonderful man - thoughtful, intelligent, and very likeable, and I enjoyed seeing him on every occasion where our families got together.
I can attest that he was an engaging conversationalist, and it was not uncommon for he and I to discuss, at length, subjects of mutual interest, like World War II, or other history and technology topics. Many times George alerted me to things I did not know about. I appreciate that, in that way, he expanded my interests and gave me things to pursue on my own.
I have no doubt that George would have worked to the highest standards he could for our country during his long career at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. I'm sure our Navy personnel benefitted from that work. There is no doubt that George loved our country and was a true patriot. That also came through in discussions we had, especially about World War II.
My grandparents Charlie and Rose were also fond of George. He was an easy person to like, as anyone who knew him could tell you.
I will miss him very much. Tara, Carlo and I pray wholeheartedly for comfort and peace for all of you, as I know we are all sure he is now in a Good Place with our Lord.
God Bless George Colombo.
Joe, Tara, and Carlo DiBruno
