Obituary of Barbara Cast

Barbara "Bertie" ( Née Miskofsky) Cast, a longtime resident of Pitman Manor, peacefully went home to the Lord on Jan. 9,2022 at the young of heart age of 101.

FAMILY

Bertie was a former resident of West Deptford where she raised her family with her beloved husband, Charles; son , Charles (Skipper)Cast and daughter, Joan Carty. Bertie loved being a grandmother, great grandmother .Bertie cherished her friendship with Patty and her family.

LEGACY

She was an active member of St Paul's United Methodist of West Deptford and for over 40 years volunteered at Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury.

When she moved to Pitman Manor, Bertie continued her service as a member and President of the Resident Council. She was often considered "the mayor of the assisted living facility. Bertie made and distributed prayer blankets and was very involved in Bible studies.

She will be remembered as one classy lady who loved the Lord and spread His joy. Butterflies represented Bertie's love of all of God's creation and His friendship. To remember Bertie, smile, say a prayer and spend time sharing His Joy.

FAREWELL CEREMONY

A graveside service will be held at Woodbury Memorial Park, Kings Hwy, West Deptford on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 1 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, Woodbury & Washington Twp.
