Obituary of Zigmont Ulinski
Zigmont Ulinski, “Ski”, a resident of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 1, 2022. He was 81.
Legacy
Ski was born in Newark, New Jersey to the late Zigmont & Catherine Ulinski (Smith). He proudly served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Ski was a genius at all things mechanical. After the service, and for the next 21 years he worked as an Air Craft Mechanic, and Maintenance foreman at Eastern Airlines. He loved to fix planes, to fly through the pinelands on his Harley Davison, and to playfully spend time with his golden retrievers.
In 1996, Ski became the Grounds and Maintenance Director at Cranaleith Spiritual Center. He took pride in following in the footsteps of his mentor Frank Trainer tending to the maintenance needs of the buildings as well as the trees, and the land. He also participated in Cranaleith’s mission by offering hospitality, relating to the neighbors, and mentoring interns from St. John’s Shelter in the city. Upon retirement, he served as a volunteer passing on the responsibilities he carried out so faithfully for 26 years.
Above all he cherished, Kathie, his wife of 44 years, his children, grandchildren, the extended Ulinski and Trainer family, and his good friends.
Family
He is the loving husband of Katherine Ulinski (Trainer); loving father to Ann Marie Burke (George), Donna Skilton (Jeff), Frank Ulinski (Jolie), Kristin Minteer (Matt); grandfather to Connor, Shannon, Anya, Matthew and Henry, brother to Catherine McBroom, the late Joseph Ulinski (Adele) and John Ulinski.
