Obituary of Stuart B. Rovin
Stuart Byron Rovin, 80, passed away on August 3, 2022 with his loving family by his side.
Born in Philadelphia, Stuart was a resident of Erial, New Jersey and upon retiring from CIGNA from a 31-year Information Technology career he and his wife Kathleen moved to South Carolina where they could enjoy the wonderful weather and plethora of golf courses.
Always fun loving and easy going, Stu enjoyed being social and active. For many years he was a member and former president of the South Jersey Ski Club. He not only skied but also played softball and volleyball with the club and enjoyed SJSC excursions. Bowling was always a favorite sport and he was on the CIGNA league for several years.
Stu loved to spend time with his family. He loved outlet shopping with his daughters and fun activities like going to the zoo with his great-grandchildren. As the main chef at home, he was a good cook and looked forward to family holiday meals.
Home with Kathleen was in Murrells Inlet where he enjoyed bowling and playing golf with his many friends. He was a long-standing volunteer with AARP Tax Aide and served as a District Coordinator. Stu and Kathleen loved to travel, recently favoring European river cruises. At home relaxing meant a good book or Sudoku with a cat on his lap.
Beloved husband of 20 years to Kathleen Keenan; loving father of Melissa (Neal) Rovin-Cullen and Kelly (Jerry) Horanoff; devoted grandfather to Andrew (Brittany) and Michael; great grandfather of Nina, Payton, Logan and Carson; brother of Joan Rubin and a favorite uncle to nieces and nephews. Stu will be dearly missed by family and friends.
