Obituary of Daniel R. Ferrer

Daniel R. Ferrer, 78, of Williamstown, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 19, 2022.

Legacy

Born in Turac San Carlos, Philippines, Daniel was a resident of Williamstown, NJ since 1988.  He has held many jobs such as making piggy banks and make up at Revlon.  Prior to retiring, Daniel was a maintenance employee of Quality Inn in Atlantic City. 

A story teller through and through, Daniel was sure to catch your attention with his magnetic personality and his jokester ways. Just like his wife, Elena, he moved from the Philippines to the U.S. and sacrificed the unknown to start a new life to support his family back home and his future family to be. Daniel was a hard worker who loved to entertain and socialize with family and friends on every and any occasion. He was a generous man who always opened up his heart and home to new friends who would later be known as family. He was strong willed and believed in telling you the way it was…even if it was hard for you to hear.  He enjoyed trying his luck at the lottery, tending to his vegetable garden and sharing his Filipino dishes with family and friends. Even if you were full, he would still try to feed you and insist that you eat something.

Family

Beloved husband of the late Elena L. (nee Rangel); devoted father of Rose M. Ferrer and Rachel L. Ferrer.  Daniel is predeceased by his parents, Leodegario V. and Genoveva Ferrer. He is survived by many brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, grandchildren most of whom reside in the Philippines. He is also survived by several family and friends near and far.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Daniel’s viewing on Friday, August 26th, 6:30 – 9:00 PM and Saturday, August 27^th, 8:00 – 9:00 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish in St. Mary’s RC Church, 32 Carroll Avenue Williamstown, NJ.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
