Obituary of Gerard McKee
Gerard "Jerry" McKee, 66, of Turnersville, New Jersey passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
Legacy
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jerry has been a resident of Turnersville for 36 years. Jerry married his childhood sweetheart, Katherine in 1981. Prior to retiring in 2012, Jerry was a gas controller for Philadelphia Gas Works. Jerry also worked for Jacquins Liquors and was a Philadelphia Police Officer for a few years.
Loving and generous are just a few words that his family would use to describe Jerry. He was an all around devoted family guy who cherished the time spent with his loved ones…especially his granddaughters, Eva and Ellie. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was the best neighbor always willing to give a helping hand. Jerry was a loyal Philadelphia sports fan and so proud of his Irish heritage. A great day included having his family surrounding him, relaxing in his yard, listening to Irish music like the Clancy Brothers.
Family
Beloved husband of 41 years to Katherine (nee Higginbottom); devoted father of Jennifer (Michael) Garde and Gerard (Nina); loving Poppy of Eva and Ellie; dear brother of Robert (Joann), Michael (the late Joan), Kathleen (Eddie) Dzmaili, Maureen McKee, Eileen McKee, John (Carina) and the late Dennis and Patrick (Susan). Jerry is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters in law.
