DTHS Alumni Association posted a condolence

Dear Family of Mr. Teodoro,
On behalf of the members of the Deptford High School Alumni Association, please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Teodoro.
Mr. Teodoro was an integral part of “the early years” of Deptford High School as a teacher and administrator, and whenever graduates from the ‘60s and ‘70s get together you can be certain some “Teo” stories will be told! Mr. Teodoro endeared himself to students and staff alike with his firm, but always fair, positive guidance and support. Deptford High was fortunate to have him as a teacher and administrator---he truly made a difference!

Dear Family of Mr. Teodoro,
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of a wonderful educator and friend/mentor to many thousands of students and educators for more than 60 years!
I had the pleasure of being in the first class Mr. Teodoro taught (7th grade) during the 1960-1961 school year---I vividly remember that year because Mr. Teodoro brought a radio to school and the class listened to the 7th game of the World Series between the Yankees and the Pirates. I can still hear Mr. Teodoro, moments after Bill Mazeroski hit perhaps the most famous home run in World Series history, commenting “that guy could be elected the mayor of Pittsburgh now!”
Fortunately for me, that seventh grade class was just the beginning of many years of having the privilege of Mr. Teodoro being a mentor and friend. Later, as the coordinator for several Deptford High School Class of ’66 reunions, I was always impressed that so many Class of ’66 members included Mr. Teodoro among their list of “favorite teachers/staff”---even 50 years after graduation! Mr. Teodoro’s never-ending support and guidance truly epitomized what education is, at its best, all about!
Although there is now sadness, as time goes by, the many wonderful memories you have of Mr. Teodoro will once again bring a smile to your lips and a twinkle to your eye every time you think of him!
With sympathy,
Bryant Heisinger
