Obituary of Evelyn C. Clifford

Evelyn C. Clifford (nee Colanero), 88, of Thorofare, New Jersey, passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Legacy

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to cook and be surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. She was a volunteer for the Phillies for over 20 years and also at Underwood Memorial hospital. She enjoyed crocheting, eating crabs, and loved Italian food. Evelyn liked to take family trips to the Outer Banks and spend time at her home in Grassy Sound. As for her career she worked as an Insurance Agent. If it wasn't for that dance at Martins, meeting her sweetheart, this great life wouldn't have been possible.

Family

She is the beloved wife of 62 wonderful years to the late Joseph D. "Muggsy/Chief" Clifford, Sr. Devoted mother of Donna (Bob) Wilgus, Joseph D. Jr. (Kelly), and Lynda (Nick) Lobascio. Treasured grandmother of Heather (Pat), Robby, Gabrielle, Steven, Laura (Greg), Joey III (Madelyn), Christina (Matthew), Kasey (Michael), and Mia. Adored great-grandmother of Harrison. Dear sister of Dominick (Pat), and Ann (late Andy); predeceased by her parents Agnes and Ralph Colanero and siblings Antoinette (Freddy), Joe (Loretta), and Edith. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday, December 13th from 5:00PM to 8:00PM and Thursday, December 14th from 9:00AM to 10:15AM at McGuinness Funeral Home-Woodbury Location, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Funeral Mass at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 14th at Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's Church 86 Cooper St. Woodbury, NJ 08096. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery Williamstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Helping Veterans, 211 County House Road Sewell, NJ 08080.
